Party Time!

2 years ago today my baby was born and now he seems all grown up:(

He loves Timmy Time so we had to make a Timmy birthday cake. Mummy & Daddy had fun decorating him. Here is the result. It even taste good!

"Timmy Baa"

Thankfully it stayed dry and we had desserts outside in our new back garden. The boys loved the freedom to run around and play hockey & football. We even managed to bring out the cake, sing happy birthday and blow out the candles before having to go inside.

"Make a wish"

It's present opening time and big bro wants to help.

The birthday boy is so excited with his ride on tractor as he can now ride something that he feet can touch the ground!

We all had a great day with family & friends. The boys were so tired that they went to sleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows. Time now to relax!

Our Easter Weekend.

We have had a very busy Easter weekend. My cousin (aged 10) had a sleepover at our house which my eldest was so excited about. On Friday we went swimming and the boys had great fun in our local swimming pool playing on the pirate ship. On Saturday we visited the Ulster Museum. The kids were able take part in the various hands on activites around the museum. Think they loved the dinasours the most and thought the Mummy was a bit creepy.

These footballs are too heavy to kick mum!

Sunday morning was an early start at 6.30am and heading to Hillsborough Lake for the Easter Dawn Service. It was lovely singing while the sun came up over the trees. A treat for the boys was feeding the ducks before heading to one of the local churches for breakfast. What a great start to the day. We managed to visit all our relations and even had time for 2 Easter egg hunts in the garden.

Easter Monday and Daddy was off work. We headed with our picnic to Castle Ward for the annaul Easter Egg Trail & Hunt. The boys had great fun following all the clues to find the easter egg at the end. We even managed to bump into the easter bunny who had been out scattering thousands of little easter eggs all over the ground. At the sound of the whistle the boys ran as fast as they could to find as many eggs as possible. We managed 3 but for a 3 year old and 1 year old that was very good. Think they enjoyed running through the trees more anyway.

The eggs that the easter bunny throw out of his basket!

The hunt is on! Am I looking for Mummy or the Eggs?

It would be great to hear how you spent your Easter weekend. Hope it was more relaxing than ours but we all had a ball!

Getting Ready for Easter!

The boys usually get a treat if they finish their dinner and we usually have a walk or a bicycle ride when it's dry. Tonight has been miserable and as an extra special treat the boys got to make some Easter rice crispy buns instead. I found these fab mico eggs in the local supermarket and they were perfect for the top of the buns to give that Easter flavour.

The boys helped Mummy & Daddy to gather all the ingredients we needed.

When Daddy had melted the chocolate the boys had great fun putting in the rice crispies and mixing them all together. Not sure how much went into the mouth! They did a fantastic job.

Once they were mixed the boys spooned the mixture into bun cases and added the micro eggs on the top. Think more of the eggs were eaten but they had fun.

Instead of giving out Easter eggs this year we are giving everyone a bun made by the two boys. My eldest is so excited as he is taking one for each of his teachers when he goes to playgroup tomorrow.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

It St Patrick's Day! A friend of mine is having a St Patrick's Blogging Carnival and if you would like to join or just want to see what others are doing to celebrate St Patrick's Day then visit her site.

Today was much like any other day in our house as hubby had to go to work. The boys and I got ready and heading to Toddlers at our Church. I was doing the craft with the kids and we went for a St Patrick's Day theme. This is what we were making.

And here is my youngest having fun with the glue.

I loved this one which a Friends son made.

After craft we kids rush to the tables for SNACKS!!! Still keeping the green theme going.

When we left toddlers we decided to go and visit Granda and Nana as they were both off work today. We carried on the green theme as the boys got "green fingered" and helped in the garden. My eldest loved helping his Granda to plant some peas but saw a bit impatient when they still hadn't grown when he checked on them 10 minutes later.

We didn't go to watch any parades but it was a lovely day and the boys loved playing with their friends and grandparents.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable St Patrick's Day whatever you did!

Words around the home.

On a friends blog she was talking about words you have to decorate your home. I didn't think I had any until I started to look around the house. My first is a wooden sign which was handmade. I love it.

The second one I managed to find was this one which says welcome.

This was the first thing I made myself. I have since made many more things and will have to share them sometime.

I also managed to find this one in my kitchen. My parents brought it home for me when they were in Africa.

I was also bought this one my a friend. Home Sweet Home!
